Last week, after a couple of postponements and many uncertainties, the most innovative event in the city’s and international interiors calendar, was back in a big way. This year’s Milan Salone del Mobile, has been the first large trade fair organised with public attendance following the start of the pandemic, and the result of an incredible effort made in a very short time. This great energy, enthusiasm, and desire to restore normality has ensured a dazzling success.
This special edition, renamed SuperSalone and curated by architect Stefano Boeri, looked to the future and was dedicated not only to design and sustainability, but also to safety and a return to sharing.
Our decision of presenting for the first time a new indoor version of the iconic Calypso range designed by Servomuto Studio, has been a clear statement of the importance of creating a strong link between the indoor and outdoor spaces of a modern living environment and the considerate use of long-lasting non-toxic materials, which drastically reduce environmental pollution. The lamp’s stem is now covered in supple leather, and the attached coffee table in green Guatemala marble adds glamorous functionality to the design.
We have for the occasion reimagined another flagship of our collection: the Muse Lantern Outdoor lamp designed by Tristan Auer has a new stylistic detail. The light source’s new look makes it much more contemporary and captivating. The simulation of the light bulb creates an alternation of lines giving it a more modern appearance, also allowing a better performance.
Getting back to seeing each other and meeting was fundamental – a great experience, which we have certainly missed in the last eighteen months. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the visitors to our stand and to our Fuorisalone events, and we can’t wait to welcome you back again soon in April. Arrivederci!
